Change of Hands- Evaluation

The narrative of a Change of Hands consists of a basic drug deal between two men. You see the two communicating their meeting followed by their encounter with the 'change of hands'. Finally, the initial drugs holder can be seen murdered by a mysterious character whom of which we are shielded from their identity.  My role within the group was cinematography and directing.

During the making of 'Change of Hands', each of the group members contributed towards the task. We also finessed each idea so that we could produce a suitable product. An example would be when we originally filmed a shot at a mid-shot, where the murderer follows the drug dealer. Afterwards, we decided that a point of view shot would be more suitable.

The  shot list could have been more detailed to improve our short film. It resulted in us having to include unplanned shots which didn't quite fit the continuity of the film and also missing out on some vital shots. We also run into continuity problems during the re-shooting process. We had to obstruct the lower region of one of the characters as he was wearing different trousers while re-shooting shots.
